Ignore the fact that Max, in the above photo, is seated on the stove. I’ve been assured he was not being sauteed. That little chair he’s in is intended to help infants sit up by supporting them all around and keeping them from sliding out. You would think that all that support would keep anyone sitting up, but it’s not true. We recently had dinner with friends and we put him in their seat on the table. While he sat in it while we ate, there was a great deal of flopping around. No matter how much support there is if you can’t hold your neck up you are going to flop. Well Isabel texted me the photo above and Max has graduated out of flopping school into the world of the sitting! This morning during breakfast we set him in the seat on the table and he makes a very fine centerpiece.
